Clinical Supervision and Consultation

I work with both new and experienced therapists and have been providing supervision and consultation for over 15 years. I am interested in helping you to develop your own personal style as a therapist, not in you becoming a therapist just like me. I will be curious about your clients, your impact on your clients, and your experience of being in the room with your clients. I encourage you to bring both the areas of your work in which you feel competent and confident, and the areas you find yourself struggling, feeling lost, or confused.

I identify myself as a relationally-oriented, psychodynamic psychotherapist. The theories that have been most influential in my clinical thinking include: Relational Psychoanalysis; Attachment Theory; Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT); Feminist Theory; and Queer Theory.

I am also interested in identifying and exploring the impact of power, privilege, and difference in both your clinical work and in our consultative relationship, and welcome exploration of racial, class, and gender dynamics that impact relationships.
